| How we work | Our team is small on purpose — three editors in India, one in London — so a single person owns every page from first draft to publication. We work in a shared folder, not a CMS: each article has a brief, a draft, a review pass and a sign-off, in that order. The lead editor assigns pages at the start of the month and the second editor signs them off before they go live. We publish three to five Cbtf-related pages a week and we refresh older pages on a 60-day cycle. Nothing goes live without two sets of eyes, and nothing stays live past 90 days without a fresh look at the numbers. We also keep a short changelog at the bottom of every page so returning readers can see what we touched since their last visit. |
| How we check facts | Every number on the site — minimum deposit, withdrawal time, wagering requirement, bonus cap, APK size, iOS version — comes from one of three sources: our test account at Cbtf, the operator's own terms page, or an email to Cbtf support. If a number is older than 60 days we re-check it before we touch the page. If three sources disagree, we quote the most restrictive one and we say so in the text. We never copy figures from other review sites — not because we think they are wrong, but because we cannot see when they last checked. When we re-check, the editor records the date and the source in the page's internal notes; the public page carries the date-stamp. That trail is how a correction gets traced if a reader challenges a specific number. |
| Expertise | Between the four of us we have 23 years of writing about online gambling and sports betting in India, the UK and Southeast Asia. Our lead editor has reviewed exchange operators since the Betfair-India era; our India desk covers payments (UPI, Paytm, PhonePe) and KYC; our London editor covers responsible gambling and licensing. We are not lawyers and we are not financial advisers — when a page needs a legal reading, we send it to a solicitor before we publish. Our senior India editor has deposited through every mainstream UPI app since the format opened to online gambling operators in 2020 and keeps a spreadsheet of actual withdrawal speeds under different banks — so a figure like '15 to 30 minutes' is a measured range, not a brochure claim. |
| Roles | Editor-in-Chief: owns the editorial calendar, signs off every page, writes the About and Terms. Senior Editor (India): owns the Cbtf lobby, bonuses and payments pages, runs the test account. Senior Editor (UK): owns the responsible-gambling, licensing and privacy pages. Deputy Editor: refreshes older pages, answers reader mail, keeps the sitemap tidy. There is no sales desk and no SEO writer — if a page exists on this site, an editor wrote it and a second editor read it. We rotate roles twice a year so a reviewer does not get stale on one topic, and we bring in a freelance subject-matter editor (cricket exchange markets, Hindi-language legal) when a page needs a second expert pair of eyes. |
| Join us | We hire slowly. If you have written about online gambling in India for at least two years, speak English and either Hindi, Bengali, Tamil or Marathi, and want to work from home on a flat salary (not per sign-up), write to editors@cbtf.bet with the subject 'Editor application'. Attach three published pieces with your byline. We read every application; we reply within three weeks. We also take short-term contributor pitches: 400-600 words on a specific Cbtf feature (a payment method, a game provider, a bonus mechanic), paid on acceptance, no obligation to continue. If you have a track record and a point of view we have not heard, we would rather read your pitch than another cover letter. |
