Signs of a problem
You are chasing losses — you top up your Cbtf wallet to win back what you just lost. You bet more than you planned — you set a limit of INR 2,000 for the evening and you blew past it. You hide the activity — your partner or family do not know how much you deposit or how often you log in. You borrow to play — you move money from a credit card, a loan app or a friend to the Cbtf cashier. You feel bad after — not after a loss, but after any session, win or lose. One of these on its own is a warning; two together is the moment to use the tools in the next section.
Limits and tools
Cbtf lets you set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit from inside your account under Account → Responsible Gaming. The limit kicks in the moment you save it and the lower limit cannot be lifted for 24 hours. You can also set a session timer that reminds you after 30, 60 or 120 minutes of play, and a loss limit that blocks further bets once your net loss reaches the number you set. These tools work in the casino lobby and in the Cbtf Exchange — one setting covers both.
Self exclusion
If limits are not enough, self-exclusion closes your Cbtf account for a period you choose — 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, or permanent. During a self-exclusion you cannot log in and you cannot register a new account with the same email or phone. Write to Cbtf support from the email on your account to start self-exclusion; the operator confirms by return email and the exclusion is active within one hour.
Where to get help
In India, iCall (9152987821) runs a free helpline in Hindi, English, Marathi and Tamil, open 10:00 to 20:00 Monday to Saturday. Vandrevala Foundation (1860-266-2345) runs a 24/7 helpline across India. Internationally, GamCare (0808 8020 133) and BeGambleAware (0808 8020 133) answer in English — useful if you are abroad. Help is free, confidential, and does not require you to give your name on first contact.
Self check quiz
Answer honestly: 1) Have you bet more than you could afford to lose in the last 30 days? 2) Have you needed to bet bigger to feel the same excitement? 3) Have you tried to cut back and failed? 4) Have you lied to someone close about your gambling? 5) Has gambling affected your sleep, your work, or your family? Two 'yes' answers is a signal to set a deposit limit this week. Three or more is a signal to call a helpline today.
Underage protection
If you share a device with children, install a block that keeps gambling sites off their screens — Net Nanny, Qustodio and Family Link all do this on Android and iOS. Cbtf itself verifies age during KYC, but KYC happens after sign-up — a determined teenager can register before the check. Keep your Cbtf password out of a shared browser and lock your phone with a PIN when you leave it on the sofa.
